About

Coras

Welcome to Colac Otway Region Advocacy Service, we hope that you will find that our service will provide you with the
Advocacy Support you need to help you through your situation.

CORAS is managed by a committee of Management who volunteer their time to make sure that the service runs well and that we use our resources the right way. The committee support the staff and make sure that we have the resources we need to help you.

If you live in the Colac Otway or Surfcoast Shires and you have a disability then you should be eligible to use our service.

CORAS is a free service. we are funded by the Department of Families, Housing Community Service and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA).

Whilst CORAS do not discriminate against people we have a policy of prioritising people with regard to the greatest unmet need so there may be times when you may have to wait for us to assist you.

If we think that there may be a more suitable service to help solve your problem then we will discuss this with you and if you agree we can link you into that service so you will have the proper support that you need.

Remember CORAS is here to stand beside you. represent you and help you to speak up for your rights as a person.
